June 8th, MetaBuild announced that it applied the 34GHz radar sensor based road incident detection system `smart IDS` to the Gangnam circular road. It was also applied to pilot projects of Next Generation Intelligent Transportation System such as Gyeongbu Expressway, Daejeon and Sejong road system.

The smart IDS which acquired the certification of the new technology of transportation has the real-time detection function of 365 days and 24 hours even in high-altitude bridge and tunnel where securing visibility is difficult due to rain, fog and fire etc. It can detect the various incidents and provide information to the driver such as traffic accident, stalled vehicle, reversing vehicle, pedestrian, falling object, wild animal, etc. It is also equipped with traffic center control function. It leads the standardization of C-ITS automatic incident detection (AIDS) at Korea and abroad. It also held a global patent.

Company is planning to apply to tunnels, bridges and roads in developed countries such as the United Kingdom and the United States to prevent traffic accidents. It is also used to form an autonomous road infrastructure. Detection distance, detection speed, and recognition rate are higher than image based system.
