Metabuild announced on the 12th that it has obtained a basic performance evaluation report from the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology with the best level of Smart VDS (Smart Vehicle Detection System) that detects traffic speed, traffic volume, and share.
Existing roof-type vehicle detectors had
difficulty in maintenance since they were buried in the road. The imaging
method was vulnerable to non-visible weather conditions such as bad weather,
which made transportation policies difficult. Radar-type vehicle detectors with
good all-weather detection performance and maintenance are already expected to
replace roof-type and video-type devices in advanced countries such as Europe.
Thus, the related market sizes such as the America and Southeast Asia are
expected to grow to 4 trillion won in 2022.
Metabuild received the world's first new
34Ghz frequency band of radar technology, which had never existed in the civil
sector, and developed and commercialized Smart Incident Detection System (Smart
IDS) to institutionalize radar technology and pioneer new technology markets.
The Metabuild Smart Incident Detection
System (Smart IDS) is a radar detection sensor that detects accidents, reverse
driving cars, pedestrians, and designated objects within a maximum distance of
1km regardless of the road weather environment such as snow, rain, fog, and
smoke 24 hours a day and night. It has obtained state-of-the-art basic
performance certification, New Excellent Technology certification (NET), CE
certification, and EPC certification. It has been installed and operated in
more than 200 expressways, tunnels, bridges, and autonomous cities.
The Smart IDS is developing an AI vision traffic accident classification system that automatically learns CCTV video information taken before and after the detection of obstacles in sudden accidents with AI and determines the type of sudden incidents (vehicle, walking, lane, etc.) by lane with more than 99% accuracy.
