Metabuild Wins Korea Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy Award at the '2020 Korea Invention Patent Exhibition'​ 

The Radar-based Commercial Technology for Traffic 'Incident Detection System' developed by Metabuild won the Korean Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award at the '2020 Korea Invention Patent Exhibition.' The patent name is "object detection device, method and system using handover between antennas of radar devices."

The award-winning Radar-based Incident Detection System (Smart-IDS) is a technology that uses information collected by radar sensors installed on the road to recognize and analyze obstacles on the road, such as stopped vehicles and falling objects, and provide the information to drivers and road managers.

By automatically detecting unexpected situations on the road in real time and providing collected information in real time, road management and operation efficiency can be enhanced by preventing first and second accidents and easing road congestion. They are installed at Yeongjong Bridge, Seohae Bridge, and Jeyaksan Tunnel in Korea.​
