Metabuild Designated as Excellent Procurement Product for Radar Traffic Incident Detection System 'Smart-IDS'

A middleware SW company, Metabuild, announced on the 12th that "Smart-IDS," an Incident Detection System that is superior to video-style and has excellent economic feasibility, has been designated as an Excellent Procurement Product by the Public Procurement Service.

The government designates products with all three characteristics of performance, technology, and quality as Excellent Procurement Product for small and medium-sized businesses. If designated, it can be supplied first to public institutions by signing a private purchase contract, and it is possible to sign a third-party unit price contract and place a separate order.

Smart-IDS is a next-generation road detection system that identifies and delivers unexpected situations such as stopped vehicles, reverse vehicles, and pedestrians that occur in up to 1km sections 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and is installed and operated in 150 domestic and foreign sections such as the Jaeyaksan Tunnel, Namsan No. 1 Tunnel, and Yeongjong Bridge.

In the 8km Jaeyaksan Jangdae Tunnel on the Miryang-Ulsan Expressway, △ IDS △ Vehicle Detection System (VDS) △ AI Image Vehicle Classifier (VAI) △ Video (CCTV) △ Variable Light Plate (VMS) △ Lane Control (LCS) △ Emergency Broadcasting is integrated into middleware SW (ESB·IoT·API) to establish and operate an efficient traffic control operation management platform by flexibly and scalable on one screen based on digital twins and dashboards.

"VDS," developed afterwards, collects and provides traffic information such as traffic volume and vehicle speed by lane, and "VAI" learns CCTV footages through an artificial intelligence (AI) platform to distinguish vehicles and people.

CEO Cho Poong-youn said, "As Smart-IDS is designated as an Excellent Procurement Product by the Public Procurement Service, we hope that it will be designed and reflected in the next-generation C-ITS project, which will be promoted as a digital new deal project this year, which will serve as a stepping stone to grow into the global market through private purchases rather than the lowest-priced bidding, which is difficult to expand the market and preserve profits."

Smart-IDS obtained basic performance evaluation, EPC (performance certification), NET (new technology certification), and CE (EU integrated certification), and won the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Energy Award and the Minister of Public Administration and Security Award at the end of last year in recognition of its excellence in patents and safety.​
