Metabuild Wins Minister of Science and ICT Award for Smart City Platform at "2021 WSCE"
Metabuild, an AI platform and middleware SW
specialized company, won the Minister of Science and ICT Award at the
"2021 5th World Smart City Expo (WSCE 2021)."
"WSCE 2021" is the Asia-Pacific's
largest smart city-related international event hosted by the Ministry of Land,
Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Science and ICT. It is a venue
where city experts, companies, and international organizations from around the
world share technology and policies on smart cities. This year marks the fifth
anniversary, it was held at KINTEX in Goyang from the 8th to 10th.
Metabuild won the Minister of Science and
ICT Award in recognition of the excellence of its "Smart City Integration
Platform (SMART-CITY V2.0)" at the event. Prior to this, the company also
won the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Award at "Smart
City Business Fair," held in 2017, as one of the top 10 best companies in
recognition of their achievements and technology in supplying the same product
to more than 50 domestic and foreign cities.
The 'Smart City Integrated Platform'
supports dashboard control, MyData connection, and connection between cities
and services in connection with various services such as ▲ Radar-based traffic
incident and vehicle detection system (IDS, VDS) ▲ Smart Construction Design
and Construction ▲ Cooperative Autonomous driving test and demonstration city
service and industrial complex ▲ IoT-based smart pole ▲ Advanced Building ▲
Mobility.
In particular, the "Smart City
Integrated Platform" is equipped with a variety of advanced technologies
accumulated in Metabuild, from research and development of the "uECO City
Platform" in 2008 to recent national projects in new cities, allowing for
scalability and flexibility in any environment. It provides its own AI
platform, middleware SW-based data hub, API Gateway, IoT middleware and smart
widgets, service ground, page wizard, and digital twin.
Currently, it collects information such as
fine dust, CCTV, and sudden vehicle detection radar (IDS, VDS) in real time
through IoT sensors installed on smart poles, links them with data hubs, and
supports 7 basic services (traffic, safety, crime prevention, security, etc.)
and additional services required by local governments (facilities, fine dust,
energy, parking lot management, traffic accidents, river drone monitoring, and
delinquent vehicles) based on digital twins.
It is also characterized by its own service
integration SW, which makes it easy to connect cities and services and expand
services. Urban connection maximizes citizens' benefits, such as cooperation
for emergency response by connecting urban conditions and urban operations
between metropolitan cities, and service connection builds a metropolitan
living area and maximizes service efficiency by interconnecting city-level
services such as parking services. In addition, service expansion continues to
discover and expand new urban services through challenges and urban regeneration.
"Metabuild has been making great efforts to accumulate new technology R&D, improve ecosystem, and create social value over short-term profits for 23 years since its founding," President Cho Poong-youn said. "It has always pioneered new products and new markets, and all products made by Metabuild have been recognized as luxury goods in the market," he said. "The Smart City Integration Platform is also growing into the world's best product by combining high-tech and services."
